Hi, I'm Dirk; I joined Weaviate on July 22 as a software engineer focusing on performance. I love working on all parts of software: from improving the test setup/CI-related things to creating architecture concepts to thinking about how to optimize algorithms. My background is physics, but I decided that I enjoy coding more :)

In my free time I'm usually hanging out with my dog Teddy, riding my bike, hiking, and going to concerts.
